Weekend Wrap-Up

By: Will & Levi

We went to the basketball game on Friday night. The game was fun to watch, but our favorite part was being held by a bunch of pretty college girls!

Then we came home and wrestled dad before bedtime. I, Levi, really like to bite dad's nose, and Will just likes to smile at the camera. Sometimes he sneaks in a toot.

On Saturday morning, dad made mom breakfast in bed. She really liked it, and she even let Will & I sit with her while she ate. She's kind of embarrassed about posting this picture because she had just woken up, but don't worry mom- we have seen you look much worse than this!

I had a lot of fun bouncing on mom & dad's bed.

I, Will, had fun drinking mom's orange juice.

Then we hung around the house in our sweats. Can you see my pearly whites?

Levi tried to act like a thug in his sweats, but he's too chubby to be scary!

Then we played with our favorite toy- the surround sound wires! For some reason, mom & dad don't like us playing with wires, but on Saturday mom kept on taking pictures of us! We don't think she saw the wires...we are really good at concealing things and looking innocent.

The weather was awesome on Saturday, so we spent the day outside! I love to be outside, and I always have a smile on my face. Sometimes I have a crooked smile...

Levi likes to be outside, but mom always has to be careful that there is nothing within reach that Levi can put into his mouth. He is crazy like that.

This is Levi's face after realizing he couldn't eat the tree, or the brick, or the dirt, or the bushes...

We love sunny weekends in February!

Not pictured: ACU Baseball games, Levi's first tooth!, Levi crawling!, Sunday afternoon naps, starting to pack for our big move (more on that later)

All About Will & Levi

I was kindly reminded today that I am behind on posting pictures of the boys. So this blog will be all about 'da boys.

Most babies like to fall asleep with their pacifier. Case and point: Levi

but not our Will. He still is comforted best by his highlighters.

We spent the weekend going to the ACU Baseball games. Of course, the boys just had to wear their caps to the games. Here they are taking a little snooze between games.

Will makes funny smirks in his sleep.

As of yesterday, Levi is crawling!!! He has been scooting backwards, but he finally figured out how to go forward! My world is about to change- big time.

Will has no interest in crawling yet. He just stares at Levi crawling around him and gives Levi very concerned looks. That doesn't stop Will from getting into things though! I walked into the living room last night and found this:

For the longest time, Will was the mama's boy and Levi was a daddy's boy. Recently, that has changed! I have absolutely LOVED watching Will reach for his dad and repeat 'da da da da da da da' alll daayyy llooong until Zach is around. It really just melts my heart. But do you know what else melts my heart?? The fact that Levi loves to give me hugs and kisses these days. He will wrap his arms around my neck and give me a tight hug, and then he will give me all kinds of slobbery kisses on my cheek. i-love-it. Here is Levi caught in the action:

Will's favorite thing to do with his dad is work on the computer.

Zach came home from work the other day and found this...

I love rocking both of the boys, but when they both fall asleep I get stuck! I can't gracefully get out of the chair with both of the boys and keep them asleep. So I just have to forget about getting anything done during their naps and just sit. I try to fall asleep, but sometimes I just sit. It is wonderful.

Part 2 of 'How I Became A Sheets, A Love Story' coming soon!

Thanksmas 2007

We had a great Thanksmas (combined Thanksgiving and Christmas) in Muleshoe. It is always fun to have the whole family under one roof. Of course, it is during these times that we miss Tyler so much. He brought (and still brings) such a joy to the holiday season. He loved Thanksgiving and Christmas so much! He loved the gift giving, the cold weather, frying the turkey, watching movies, playing football outside, Christmas music, and being together with the family. We all shed tears as we missed him, but we also had a great time- knowing that he would want us to enjoy this time of the year.

As always, here are a lot of pictures to document the week. There are maybe a hundred more, but I had to choose just a few for the blog.

Terah has been studying for the Bar, and Will thought he would help her by highlighting the important parts. He actually fell in love with that highlighter and held it the whole way home from Muleshoe. That kid cracks me up!

'Mamanita' and Will. He fell asleep as she was feeding him his Thanksgiving feast of sweet potatoes. So sweet!

Levi, you better not wake up your Papa Doc.

It snowed on Thanksgiving Day! Here is Landon with his nephews. They LOVE him!

Me, Terah, Landon, Heather, Ben, Sarah, Zach & Cori all ready for some snow football! Actually, I backed out and went inside because it was sooo cold!

I love this one because all the aunts & uncles were on the couch trying to imitate Levi. I think they did a pretty good job!

Heather and Will outside on the swing. We don't get to see Heather very often, so they love to snuggle with her when they can!

Gini and Levi. I think the boys got spoiled just a little bit...

A family snow picture.

Cori feeding Levi. Gotta love what a baby can make ya do : )

The men taking care of the fried turkey.

I just LOVE this picture of Levi. I want to pinch those cheeks!

OK, I better stop posting pictures.

In other random news, Will cut his first tooth on Saturday!!! I will try to take a picture and post it soon. It's pretty cute! Well...as cute as a little white peak of a tooth can be.

Weekend Wrap-Up

We had a great weekend just staying in Abilene. We have been traveling so much that it felt strange not packing a suitcase and getting everything in the car. Strange, but WONDERFUL!

Erika and her friend Ruby came to visit, and we had a great time showing Ruby all the quirky Abilene things. We drove over the singing bridge, ate at Joe's Pizza, walked around ACU, got ice cream at Mary's, and we had a big cookout at our house. The weather was great and we had a fun time!

Big news on the baby front...Will rolled over for the first time! It's funny because Levi rolled over on Oct. 1st, and Will rolled over on Nov. 1st. We'll see if all of their milestones turn out that way!

Here is a pic of the first roll. Yes, I actually saw it and caught it on camera!

He was very proud of himself!

Erika and Will- he was very happy to see her (despite the look on his face)

TWIN ALERT! Rosalyn with Levi and Camille with Will. I just realized that Camille and Will would be funny twin girl/boy names!

I didn't even know this picture was taken until I loaded my pics onto the computer. Erika...did you do this? : )
Levi with some windshields on.

Happy Halloween!!!

Here are some better pictures of the boys in their Charlie Brown (Will) and Snoopy (Levi) costumes. So sweet!

I like this one because they are both leaning in the same direction and the same angle, and they both have blank stares on their faces.

In this one you can see Snoopy's back and tail. So cute!

'Sup...I'm Snoop Dog and this is Charlie.'

floor view...

Diaper time! These boys love being naked : )

A couple snaps of play time with mom & dad:

Hope you all had a wonderful Halloween!

A Great Weekend!

Three things happened this weekend that were wonderful!

1. My grandparents celebrated their 60th Wedding Anniversary. We went to east Texas to spend some time with the whole family and honor them with a party! We also attempted to take a huge family photo. Here is one of the results:

We had a great time with all of the aunts, uncles, cousins, and BABIES!

2. We had a Halloween party at our house last night. It was tons of fun to see everyone's creative costume ideas. Here are some pics:

Kate & Brandon dressed up as a Sonic car-hop on skates and a corvette.

There's a good story...My first job was as a Sonic car-hop. One day my manager told me try out the skates, and I was a good skater, so I agreed! Well, I was taking an order of Route 44 drinks to a truck near the back of the row. I had my eyes set on the truck I was skating to, and I didn't realize that a black corvette's hood was way out in my skating lane. I managed to skate under his hood, face plant onto his shiny black corvette, spill the drinks all over his car and myself, and scratch his paint with the bottom of the sonic tray. Sooooo....Kate & Brandon thought they would make light of that story and dress the part. I have to admit...it was hilarious!

Here I am pretending to be mad at Kate. (Don't you love the wig?!?! She actually borrowed the Sonic uniform from a car-hop she didn't even know!)

The Strader Family. Or the Presley family...whichever...

The corny Campbells! There is a story behind their costumes as well...but I don't even want to go there! You'll just have to ask Kevin...

All of the kids! This was the best picture I could get with this many kids!

Ava and Jacob looking SO CUTE in their costumes (monkey & Diego from Dora) and glasses:

Drum roll please....
For their first Halloween, the boys dressed up as.....
....
.....
......
.......

Charlie Brown and Snoopy!

(these are two of the boys' favorite high school girls.)

Hopefully we will take a better picture of their costumes this week. They are adorable!

OK...moving on to the most exciting thing about last weekend....

3. Landon and Whitney are ENGAGED!!!!

Before...

After...

Seriously, could they be any cuter?!?

CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!
We are sooo pumped for them!
