It's hard to believe

It's hard to believe that it has been a month since Tyler died. This month has been a reminder that life will go on. Honestly, there are times when we don't want life to go on. We don't want pain and hurt. We want to be in heaven.
On the other side of things, we treasure relationships and life more than we ever have. We feel more compassionate towards people and more honest with feelings. That's all I have on that for now.

Over MLK weekend, Zach and I went to Missouri to visit my grandparents. They live on some beautiful land that I grew up loving! We spent the weekend playing 42, watching movies, and eating more food than I should have. While we were there, Missouri experienced the worst ice storm that they have seen in a long time. Fortunately, we were able to have electricity most of the time, and we all stayed warm. Here are some pictures from our trip:

This is one of their ponds.

The barn and first part of the pasture.

This is my pawpaw. He "scoops" icecream with a huge watermelon knife. Sometimes it scares us, but it is also very endearing.

I haven't done this for the past few blogs...but here are some more names we won't be using:
Alan, Andrew, Calvin, Keith, Lance, Mark, Patrick, Russell, Todd, Zander

Can I add Peter to that list? Not that it's a terrible name, but it makes me feel really uncomfortable. I continue to pray for you...love you guys!

yes...you can add Peter to the list. 2007 will not bring a Peter Sheets into the world.

Hmmm... I'm glad you decided against those names. Not that they are bad names, just not great for your boys. Have you thought about what colors you are going to be using for the nursery?? I've been dying to know. I can't wait to spend time with you at Sing Song. Just so you know, I've been dying to go to Fujis when we come. Japanese Hibachi places don't make you want to throw up, do they?? Love you!
