Brad Paisley Concert Pics

Our January was packed with lots of traveling (like every weekend), which caused me to get very behind on my blogging 'groove'. Apologies.

Stupid me forgot my camera at the Brad Paisley concert! We had such a great time, and fortunately, my camera on my phone got some decent pictures.

We started off in our seats which were 8 rows from the very top of the coliseum. Needless to say, they weren't the best seats, but I was happy just to be there!

Darius Rucker, the lead singer from Hootie & The Blowfish, opened for Brad. I was amazed to hear that some songs I knew all the words to were sung by him... and I had no idea! He was a lot of fun. Next on the schedule was Dirks Bentley. He was crazy. Lots of energy....and really funny in a quirky kind of way....
By this point in the concert, I found myself getting angry at Dirks. I just wanted to see/hear Brad so badly! About the time that Dirks ended his portion, Zach & Landon found seats down lower that were much better (and empty!). Soo...we snuck our way down to the better seats...

that is brad walking down the middle stage...

and here he is singing 'When I Get Where I'm Going'
He sang about every song that I would want to hear live, and it was such a fun concert! A favorite moment was when he sang 'Whiskey Lulliby' and a huge screen at the back of the stage had an image of Alison Krauss singing her part of the song. It was AMAZING how much they made it look like she was there in person! I'll confess, I was a part of the crowd that started screaming when 'she came on stage'. It was so real! It took me most of the song to figure out that it was just an image.... oh well, Alison Krauss gets an applause from me no matter what!

After the concert, we came back to our hotel room to find our boys dreaming the night away. Thanks Shelley & Mamanita for babysitting! We had a great time!

Kara, I was so hoping to see you guys and did from a distance, sorry I couldn't get to you to say hi. We got to the concert and our seats were double booked, probably close to the section that you guys were in. Luckily, the concert wasn't sold out, and the event staff found us some really great seats....8 rows from the floor!! It was such a great concert, wasn't it!
