Where have we been...?

....lots and lots of places!!!

I will begin with telling you about our ski trip. We went with Zach's whole family to Sol Vista Ski Resort which is outside of Winter Park, CO. We had gone there a few years ago, and we had a great time then so decided to go back! We left on Dec. 17th, and the boys did great on the long drive up to the mountains. Unfortunately, I got sick the day before we left for the ski trip. I thought it was just a cold that would only stay around for a few days. Little did I know that this ugly virus would stick around for the whole ski trip! I had a 103 fever for 6 days along with the worst sore throat I have ever experienced. I spent the whole ski trip in bed. On the last day, I decided that I would ski regardless of how I felt. I managed to get in a few runs before I felt like I was going to pass out. It was well worth it!! Everyone else had a great time tearing up the slopes and playing with Will & Levi. Here are some pics for your viewing entertainment!
* I was in bed sick the whole time, so these pics are from Sarah's camera.

Zach...without me.

Zach and me while I was skiing!

Papa Doc and the boys in their Penn State gear.

Landon and Whitney

Terah (skiing) and Landon (sliding). A trick that is always fun to watch!

Most of the group (l-r): Zach, me, Ben, Papa, Heather, Landon, Whitney, Cori
Sitting: Terah, Shelley, Gini, Sarah (these girls went snow shoeing for the afternoon. Very cool!)

Beautiful girls!

We were all together in Colorado for the anniversary of Tyler's death. I really can't believe it has been a full year since the accident. Tyler is still a part of our daily lives. We think and talk about him all of the time, and we are living every day to the fullest as he did. How great is it that we can look forward to eternity with him!

Since the accident, our friend Kate has been working on a special gift for the family. She wanted to give us something that could remind us of Tyler, and she wanted us to feel his presence around us. For the past year, she worked on a quilt to give to the family. This quilt turned out amazing! It has shirts and pants of Tyler's along with pictures from his life. I know that this quilt will bring comfort and peace to every member of the family. Thank you, Kate.

OK, Here are some posts to look forward to:

* Christmas Eve & Christmas Day in Dallas
* Will & Levi meet their great-grandparents/Missouri Trip
* Our boys are stinkin' cute right now!

Sorry that you were so sick on the ski trip! At least you had lots of help with the boys while you were sick!
