Merry Christmas everyone! I hope you all are having a great time being with family and friends. We spent all last week skiing in Colorado. It was so much fun! I haven't been skiing since 9th grade, and I was slightly worried about how I would do on the first day. Luckily, I picked it all back up very quickly! It was such a blast skiing with all of Zach's family. We had a ski in/ski out lodge that really sealed the deal. It's worth the money. You don't have to load all your stuff into a car, get hot and nauseated, drive to a parking lot, walk to a shuttle, ride to the base, put on your gear, pole to the line...etc. You just ski to your entrance and ski down to the lift line. Beautiful.
We are spending this week with my family. So far we have both received some really cool gifts. Flight simulator game, books, subscription to National Geographic (which I am sooo excited about), socks, puffy vest, jacket, tools....and more! Unfortunately, my contacts got some bacteria on them, and I now have a nasty nasty form of pink eye. I will spare you from some nasty details...well, maybe not! I just got my bro to take a picture of one of my eyes. Here it is:
Pretty gross, huh?! Anyways, they are healing OK, but I really hope I don't spread them to my adorable nephew.
At the moment my whole family is napping after a huge turkey meal. Yum. I will leave you with a pic from the trip.
