We'll begin with August 30th. My Birthday! (How convenient! hee hee)
We spent that weekend in Muleshoe to see some of my in-laws who were in town. The whole Sheets clan woke me up in the morning with the birthday song and cake:
The West Texas Fair & Rodeo is practically in our backyard. It was the week of Ike, so it rained most of the time, but we did manage to get one good evening out at the fair grounds. Unfortunately (and by that I mean fortunately), it consisted of corndogs, hamburgers, aggie fries, funnel cake, corn on the cob, turkey legs, nachos, and much more yummy foods....
The weather has been AWESOME lately!
We have enjoyed lots of time outside. One day we went to the park with Ava & Pierson.
Levi doesn't need to get more risky. This kid makes me nervous every day. This is just one of his more lame tricks that he does...
but he makes up for it by being a total ham! yes, that is my ponytail-holder on his arm. he sees me put mine on my wrist every day, so he didn't want to be left out.
Will's new thing is shrugging and turning his hands up anytime someone asks him a question. He even has the blank face to go along with it!
I spotted a news crew the other day doing a 'bit' in our backyard! Hopefully it wasn't a story on yards cluttered with junk. By the way, anyone interested in a boat?
We are enjoying lots of walks in the mornings. I think Will & Levi look so cute in this pic.
and here they are ready for school on Water Day! They had fun swimming and playing in the bubbles. Dad had to go to work and didn't get to join in on the fun.
OK, here is the big news from this week. It's the reason why there has been no blogging recently....
We re-did our kitchen! Here is a sneak peak. It's not quite finished, so this will have to hold you over!
And you might be wondering what the boys do while I blog. It got really quiet a few minutes ago, and that is never good. I got up to check things out, and this is what I found...
...there used to be a brownie in that pan.

i'm still amazed at how quickly y'all do renovations at your house. it looks great! just think about how fast you'll be when the boys can help paint!

The kitchen looks great, Kara! Can't wait to see more pictures. I just love the boys in their cowboy boots! It cracks me up that they wear them no matter what the occasion. I miss that time in life when you'd get something you loved and use it any chance you got. Hope y'all are doing well!
sweet boys. can november come quickly?
Love your cowgirl boots and new kitchen!
The picture with Zach holding up one of the twins to shoot the basketball is adorable! I have a feeling it will re-surface in a senior slide show and the whole church will say,"Wow, look at zach!" Like we did with our dads.
