I am finally getting around to posting about our trip to Nashville two weekends ago. We had a GREAT time! It is always fun to catch up with old friends, and this was my first time to Nashville..so it was very memorable! As always, I will let you see our trip through our camera...
We spent Friday driving around downtown Nashville. We saw all of the big sights, including the Country Music Museum and Hall of Fame. The people who took the picture didn't quite understand that we wanted the name of the building in the picture....oh well.
Then we went to Radner Park to walk around the lake. When we were on the trail, and guy came jogging by us. When he got close, Zach realized that this guy went to ACU with him. Random!
Just hangin out..
We got to visit with family on Sunday...
Walking around Franklin
I didn't get any pictures of the boys on the plane like I hoped to get. Note to self: Don't plan on taking pictures of twins on a crammed plane. It just doesn't happen that way.
Here are some funny stories from our flights...
On the way to Nashville, our flight was packed full, so Zach and I had to be separated. (There are only 4 oxygen masks for 3 seats, so it only accounts for one extra person. Since every seat was full, one of us with a baby had to move.) Anyways, I ended up sitting next to two men in their mid 50's. This got kind of awkward when I had to nurse, but I am pretty good at covering everything and being quick. The man on the aisle seat was very nice and asked to hold Will during one part of the flight. I quickly agreed and handed Will over. A few minutes later the guy commented, 'Ooo...this guy is dirtying his diaper..'. I told him he might want to hand Will back because he has a tendency to blow out of his diapers. The guy did a quick check and was relieved to find no poop had leaked out. We were about to land, so he told me that I should just wait until we landed to change the diaper- I agreed. Well, after a few moments the guy held Will out in front of him and said 'Oh My Gosh!', and that's when I looked over to see yellow, runny baby poop all over the man's really nice khaki pants....and his arm....and his shirt....
That is when I apologized more times than I ever have before. I mean...what do you say?!?!
The guy was soo nice about it. He laughed it off and told me that he knew the risks of holding a baby. But seriously...I felt soooo bad. The flight attendant gave him some stain remover, but I am pretty sure his suit is a gonner.
On the way back from Nashville, Zach was holding Levi on his lap. Zach fell asleep during the flight home, but was awakened by his neighbor telling him, 'I think your baby is pooping on you.' Sure enough...Levi pooped all over Zach's pants, arm, and shirt! Then I had the priviledge of changing the diaper on my lap. The guy next to me tried to help out, but only managed to get poop on his arm. Lovely!
Other than the pooping issues, the boys had a great time on the plane. Next time, I will be better prepared!

lol lol Brings back memories and expect to be embarassed again. But it is really fun and most people just love it. mamanita
LOL!! Your plane stories had me in tears with laughter!!!
What size diapers are the boys wearing? I could always tell it was time to move Brody up a size in diapers when he started having blow outs with every poop.
OK. That is SO funny because I was about to say the SAME THING as Staci. I would always know to move up a size when they would poop or pee through their diapers. So that might be an worth a try. (And here I was thinking I had an original idea!!)
LOVE the plane stories. My kids have yet to get to go on a plane, so maybe I should be glad I missed out on all the pooping in the air thing. :)
That is hilarious! I'm glad you had a good trip and that the worst thing that happened on the flight was a little poop mishap. :)
Brad was recently puked on by another passenger trying to make it to the bathroom. With no apology whatsoever. So, don't feel too bad. It happens. And at least you were kind about it.
oh! Thank you for that! I haven't laughed that hard for awhile and it was sorely needed! You spin a good tale, girl.
oh my goodness! i can't believe both flights and both boys managed to involve lots of overflowing poop. sounds like ya'lls trip was fun!
...i miss you guys so much!
I think Will and Levi are going to be pranksters. They probably knew exactly what they were doing and were just waiting for the perfect moment. Good one boys!
you're the best. And the poop stories are funny.
That had me rolling:)! Those Sheets boys sure know how to entertain! If that guy is married, his wife sure is going to have fun with those stains. I have a feeling this story will live on:)
