We lost our dear brother & friend, Tyler Sheets, this week. Please be in prayer for us as we deeply mourn his death and his missing presence.

This makes me all the more aware of what Jesus' birth, death, and ressurection means. I have never been more motivated to LIVE, more willing to die, and more ready for Jesus to Come.

We will miss you Tyler.

Merry Christmas to all.

oh Kara - you are all in our thoughts, prayers and hearts today as we mourn with you. Thank you for your comment. We woke up to it and it meant so much to each of us this morning. We love each of you all the more today and you're right - "I have never been more motivated to LIVE, more willing to die, and more ready for Jesus to Come." I couldn't agree more.

Max's letter to Santa was precious. It said, "Dear Santa, Hey how's it going? I hope you have had a safe trip here and hope you have a safe trip back to the North Pole. I'm pretty sure you've talked to my parents and they told you what I would like. But I'll tell you what I really want, I really want you to give the Sheets a great Christmas because they are going through a really hard time losing Tyler. So if you could just give them a merry Christmas. Sincerely, Max Gilbert"

This year he is reminding me a lot of Tyler - his heart and his gentle, strong spirit live on in all of you and a little bit in each of us.

As my grandaddy just reminded us after listening to Candy's comment, "you all still have 9 great kids, and the Lord has 1 amazing one."

Kara:
I just want you to know that our family has had you in our prayers since we received the news. You and Zack are great friends to my brother, Chad, and his wife, Summer. You also know my son Brad. Brad knows Landon and knew of Tyler. Brad has only had the best of things to say about Tyler and Landon. We are so saddened by your loss and want to help in any way.
I love the response from a wise granddaddy. Remember Tyler has now achieved what we are all longing for, to be home with our Father.
Please accept our deepest sympathy and know you and your family are in our prayers daily.
In Him,
Teressa Mick

I love all of you so much- my last thoughts at night, my first thoughts when I wake up are with you and Zach, Kyle, Bernita and all the kids.

This is the day the Lord has made. I will rejoice and be glad in it.

I appreciate your thoughtful words about living fully, and awaiting Jesus' return. It is a timely message at a time of year when many are caught up in shopping and spending. You and the entire Sheets family continue to be in our constant thoughts and prayers. We love you.

Kara,
I am thankful that I knew Tyler even though it was for a short time. He blessed the life of everyone he knew and his presence is missed. Thanks for reminding us that there is victory in death. Thanks be to God for his life! Love you.
