Thanksgiving
Our Thanksgiving was wonderful. We spent the week in Muleshoe with Zach's family. For those of you reading who don't know, Zach is the oldest of 10 kids. Therefore, holidays are always eventful and fun! Everyone was there except for Sarah (we missed her...but she was in NYC having a blast). We ended up having 3 full Thanksgiving meals. I love turkey, but by the end of the week, I was burned out on that bird. For the first time on Sunday afternoon, I had quial, pheasant, and dove. They were all really good, and I felt kinda cool eating food that the family had hunted. Did any of you see that TV show where they take families and make them live like pioneers did for a whole year?! I think I could do that. I think I was supposed to live in the pioneer days. Well, I guess I should say that I see myself in that time era more than any other era. What generation or era do you belong in?
Back to Thanksgiving- Like I said, we spent it well with Zach's family, but it was bittersweet because I missed seeing my new nephew Zane. He is about 7 weeks old. My brother and sis-law, Andy and Melissa, went to Dallas to spend T-giving with my family. They sent some new pics- here is my favorite

So Cute

Last night we bought our 2005 Christmas Tree. I grew up getting a real Christmas tree every year, and I would like to continue that tradition. This really is "the most wonderful time of the year." Last night Abilene had their annual Christmas Parade of Lights. We were thinking that this would be a 10-15 minute parade with small dinky floats..little did we know. This thing was huge! There were over 100 floats, and Zach and I left after an hour because my feet hurt from standing and we were cold. It really was a great parade- lots of lights, music, "Merry Christmas!"'s, and kids that were soo happy to see Santa. What a wonderful way to kick off the Holiday Season. In the blogs to come, I will inform yall of some of my families Christmas traditions (there are many), so be thinking of your favorite ones to let me know about. Tomorrow is the first day of the best month of the year! YEESSSSS!

Kara,

I love Christmas, too! Everything seems so joyful and festive during this season. Plus, I always enjoy the extra family time!

Glad you guys had a great Thanksgiving!

Jenny

P.S. I saw Zane at my church on Sunday. Melissa grew up at my church. Anyways, he's precious!!

Hey punkin,
You know I love Christmas too. We do have a lot of traditions, don't we? But, it's important, in my opinion, that you and Zach start you own unique traditions, incorporating family stuff you really like with your own new stuff. It's fun and it will make this time of year more special for you and future kiddos.
And, yeah, I put up our old, disheveled stockings again (tradion!) But.... now I have to get one for Zane, the most cutest, sweetest, adorable baby ever.
